Derek Davis

Vice President, Completions & Production

Sequitur Energy Resources

Derek Davis has been in the industry for 13 years in various roles in engineering and operations. He began his career in 2010 in Bossier City, Louisiana as a hydraulic fracturing engineer in the Haynesville Shale and surrounding areas, moving to an operator in 2014. Since then, in each role as completions engineer, production engineer, and production superintendent, he has faced evolving challenges from multiple perspectives. He joined Sequitur Energy Resources in 2018, previously serving as Operations Manager before his current role as Vice President of Completions & Production.

Mr. Davis graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He also holds an MBA from the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University and is licensed in Petroleum Engineering by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
